Just watched City of Ember . . . I want a sequel !

I know this is pretty late but I have just finished watching "City of Ember" a couple of minutes ago. It was only after watching when I realized that it was based on a novel by Jeanne DuPrau. The movie was released seven years ago and I can't believe that I have just seen this movie now.

One of the main characters in the movie was portrayed by Saoirse Ronan and she really looked young in here. I wonder how old is she now? Anyway, I enjoyed the movie though I might agree on some reviews I have just read online that the movie lacked some more adventures or actions.

I searched the movie on Google right away (that's already becoming a habit of mine) and was a little disappointed that there was no sequel yet. I don't know if they're going to make a sequel but it has been seven years since the "City of Ember". I wish they would continue though because well, I think you shouldn't leave the audience hanging.

Though they really could have end "City of Ember" like that (because it's not like the ending was hanging or something like that) and not do a sequel, I'm sure the readers of DuPrau would still love to see a film adaptation of "The People of Sparks".

I think I will be adding the City of Ember series to my reading list now. These kinds of story are really my thing and I'm sure reading the series will be enjoying as much as or probably even more than I have enjoyed watching the movie.
